Rate/ Routing

Rate:

In the SMS network, customer and supplier’s rate is based on MCC-MNC.

  • Default Rate – Fallback Rate: is assigned to all other rate which is undefined under the customer price list.

  • Code mismatched: issue can be taken place if there is the difference between customer and supplier’s MCC-MNC.

Routing:

The routing we have in our SMS system is A- Z and LCR basis, but we can use Routing Rules to setup CSR route for each customer.

The concept of ‘Routing Pools’ is as same as Service Class’s in Voice but the routing portion cannot be assigned, it is just to form Customer/ Supplier into the same group. Multiple pools can be assigned into a Supplier but only one for a Customer.

I.e: Suppliers have the routing pool: Platinum will be used for Customers have the same one. Multiples Suppliers have the same available routes in which will be picked up under LCR concept.

LCR concept: i.e: A – B - C

In order to set a specific routing in LCR, we could make use of the value ‘Maximum Message per day’ or adjust the net cost of supplier.

Interworking Route: when we have an internal connection between us and the other supplier which we can send a free message. We make use of this connection to earn profit when we allow the other send traffic to us.
